About IDRAK
IDRAK is an independent fire protection and life safety engineering consultancy. We design fire protection systems, run the calculations behind them, and carry projects through code review and authority approval — the same technical discipline an international engineering practice applies to any other building system.
We are engineers first. Our recommendations are derived from hydraulic calculation, code reference, and documented risk analysis — not from a catalogue of equipment to sell. That independence is what lets clients defend our designs to a regulator, a lender, or an insurer.
The practice is built to work alongside architects and structural engineers from concept stage, so fire protection is engineered into the building rather than retrofitted around it.
Technical Scope
Ten disciplines, one coordinated engineering team.
Full-scope active and passive system engineering, integrated with the building's structural and architectural design.
Performance-based fire safety strategies for complex, large-scale, or non-standard buildings.
Structured hazard identification and quantified fire risk evaluation for new-build and operating facilities.
Hydrant networks, hose reel systems, and fixed suppression system design.
Detection and voice-alarm system design, zoning, and cause-and-effect documentation.
Automatic sprinkler layout and hazard classification to NFPA 13 and equivalent standards.
Flow, pressure, and demand calculations for every protected zone, verified against supply conditions.
Design verification against Oman Civil Defence requirements and relevant international codes.
Existing-building audits that identify gaps against current code and a prioritised path to close them.
Submission, coordination, and close-out with Civil Defence and other relevant approving authorities.
